A simple Shampoo bar with in built conditioner
My journey of learning about making shampoos and hair care products has introduced a me to plethora of things that I just had not considered in the past. For example, one expert in hair care discusses hair in 12 different categories, whereas another renowned expert sees hair in 9 differing categories. There is so much information in education and learning that you can easily become inspired to step out of the comfort zone of learning and be guided to make real products, and your own path.
In this vein, I have chosen to look at hair in ways that I see in everyday life and after talking things through with friends and colleagues, I have decided to move forward with my second shampoo bar with conditioner.
Our second venture into making a solid shampoo bar with conditioner is aimed at straight hair and incorporates Jojoba Oil, Pink Clay, Oat Flour and is complemented with Bergamot Essential oil.
Each shampoo bar is balanced with a blend of gentle cleansing agents that are all sulphate free so this shampoo bar can be used on treated and untreated hair. We have also included a balance of proteins, vitamins preservatives to help protect and strengthen the hair and scalp, focussing on keeping everything in balance.
Shampoo Bar Ingredients
The ingredients in this used 2in1 shampoo bar are Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate (SCI), Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate (SLSA), Cocamidropopyl Betaine (CAPB), Distearoylethyl Dimonium Chloride; Cetearyl Alcohol (Varisoft EQ65), Decyl Glucoside, Lauryl Glucoside, Hydrolized Wheat Protein, Citrus Bergamia (Bergamot Essential Oil), Sodium Lactate, Citric Acid (Empirical Citric Acid), Avena Sativa Kernal Flour (Oatmeal Colloidal Powder), Kaolin Illite (Pink Clay), DL-Panthenol Powder (Vitamin Pro B5), Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba Oil), Dehydroacetic Acid and Benzyl Alcohol (GFecosafe Preservative Eco Equivalent), Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride (Guar Gum).
Although this list looks extensive, we have used the principle of every ingredient must add value to our shampoo bar product range, so extensive research into each component has been done and continues to be reviewed.
