A frequent request at maket days is “Do you sell Soap Savers?” I make these myself from Ramie Yarn. These keep your soap dry so it lasts longer. You can use it with the soap in to exfoliate. They are antibacterial so no mould or mildew. The Ramie yarn gets stronger when wet, its also very resistant so it will last a long time hanging up in your bathroom making your soap last.

Made from the fibres from the Himalayan Nettle (Girardinia Diversifolia)

Ramie Yarn is bio-degradable and 100% sustainable.  The process from plant to yarn is non-harming to the eco-system, natural and organic.  Each plant can be harvested up to six times a year as it continues to grow naturally in the Himalayan mountains.

Ramie is a unique yarn, pure white in colour, extremely moisture absorbent and gets stronger when wet.  It is 6 times as strong as cotton and twice as strong as flax.  A natural fibre that is moth repellant, resistant to mildew and attacks from bacteria.

This Ramie Yarn has a high twist which adds to its texture.  Although it may feel quite harsh to the initial touch, when handled, it quickly becomes softened.
